About UCL Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering 

The SnakeGrid technology was developed by Dr. Jonathan Iliffe and team at UCL Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering. The Department of Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering is at the forefront of teaching, research and knowledge transfer. It's courses encompass the full spectrum of civil engineering from structures to geomatics to earthquakes to transport while continuing to provide a sound understanding of civil engineering principles.

 The Department's research is innovative and at the forefront of engineering development. Its staff are leaders in their fields and are often called upon to provide detailed knowledge to anyone from the media to industry to policy makers. The Departments works with other academics, with industry partners and with local and national government providing research and expertise.
